Do the Quitline Service providers offer other services?

Yes. The ENQ Network comprises a rich and diverse set of organisations. Each ENQ member is unique in their operations. Quitlines are an integral part of the overall tobacco control agenda in each member state. Some organisations offer a comprehensive range of services that take on the tobacco control dimensions also, while others offer just the telephone cessation services.

The broad spectrum of services offered, besides smoking cessation, are:

• Resources ? Self help material in multimedia formats (leaflets, videos, on-line resources on websites, fact sheets and reports)
• Training and development ? courses for health professionals, lay tobacco control advocates, youth leaders and teachers
• Research and development ? cutting edge research into public health, clinical, social and other aspects of smoking and smoking cessation
• Work place and other secondary legislation advise and support ? advise to employers, trade unions and occupational health experts on smoking cessation and smoke free environments
• Advocacy and parliamentary support ? provide policy makers with key facts and statistics on the health, social, economic and cultural aspects of tobacco use
