UK tobacco control measures have been ranked top in a 28 country study. Ban on advertising tobacco and a heavy tobacco taxation and duty have hit the demand side of tobacco control. Helping smokers stop through Quitline, Subsidised NRT and NHS Stop Smoking Clinics has helped to supress demand too.
